Dr. Tai graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, where he obtained his D.D.S. with honours. Upon graduation he completed a one-year General Practice Residency in dentistry at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. His four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was completed at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.

Dr. Tai is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr Tai is currently the Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry at The Scarborough Hospital. Dr. Tai has been in private practice in Ontario since 1999.
